Illustratør Kine Kjær har sine røtter et sted mellom fjell og fjære og ønsker med produktene til KJÆRTEGN å formidle følelsen av "å sitte på bestemors kjøkken". Resultatet er et tidløst design og produkter av høy kvalitet som er ment å kunne gå i arv i generasjoner. Illustrasjonene skal gi en følelse av nostalgi, men har også som hensikt å omfavne og hedre den samiske og nordnorske kulturen.

Illustrator Kine Kjær´s roots are planted in a place between the mountains and the ocean, and her design creates the feeling of “being in grandma’s kitchen”. The result is a quality product with timeless design, which is intended to be passed down from generation to generation. Nostalgic feelings are captured through the illustrations, while the Sami and Northern Norwegian culture is honoured and embraced.

About

Kine Kjær, located in Tromsø, Northern Norway, is a versatile illustrator who mixes traditional illustration and printing techniques with a modern expression to meet her clients' needs and wishes. She´s been working as an illustrator since 2009, after graduating from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia where she obtained a bachelor's degree in photography and art. In her own art, Kine is keen to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of Sami and Northern Norwegian culture..
